The writing caught my attention from the get-go. The different story lines told in different formats -- diary entry, podcast, etc. -- keep the tone varied, and the short chapters keep the tension tight. The premise is very intriguing. The description of the scenery is hauntingly vivid and mysterious. The characters are already well-developed--I feel like I know them (of course, I'm sure there will be a twist and I will realize I didn't know one of them at all!) I can't wait to read more to find out how all the different parts of this story are going to fit together.
