I'm in love with ever aspect of this, from the author's writing style to development. Couldn't love it more!
That first sentence was the best hook I’ve seen for a while. I love when the author takes the time to make sure our first impressions are led in a way the author intended. I also knew from the first paragraph that I liked the writing style. The way the author describes things and how he uses comparisons are perfect. Not overboard but enough at the same time. The author’s word choices are also very unique, and I love when an author has such a unique voice that someone could point out what story is his without knowing.
On to the actual story. Wow, it sure did start off with a bang! And the character development! Wow how this author can write a character! We not only can see but feel the maniacal energy radiating off of the character. And then that ending of the first chapter. Oh, My WORD! I just can’t… I can’t even. “This character is absolutely insane! ….I want to read more.”
As the story goes on, I got more and more of the suspenseful feeling. Things, people, are brought up and they definitely hold importance, but we don’t exactly know why or how. Definitely a page turner. The feeling of just needing to know more is constant and amazing.
The fact that we constantly change perspectives allows us as readers to have a more full view of what is happening. It allows us to see more of the ‘world’ that the author has built. It’s so unique in the way that we see the story. From a person’s perspective to pod casts/audio recordings. We get a very extensive and well-rounded view. Couldn’t be more in love.
