This book kinda feels like Pirates of the Caribbean. I found the cover interesting but the book wasn’t really my genre.
It seemed like it took forever to read this book.To be honest, it put me to sleep. The premise sounded good and I wanted to like it but I didn’t really.
I had a hard time keeping the characters straight. Buc comes across at times harsh and not very likeable. I liked Eld much better. I don’t think I would compare Buc to Sherlock Holmes at all.
I guess I was expecting a cross between Sherlock Holmes and the archeologist with a mystery thrown it.
The book did kinda remind me of a previous book I had read called The Sineater.
Fantasy fans will be sure to like this book
