Decent Fiction/Fantasy Book
The Sin in the Steel follows Buc and Eld - two friends who find themselves in a pickle and need a way out. To survive they must finish a job.. This story includes pirates, detectives, Gods, and more.
This is the first book by the author, Ryan Van Loan, who was a military man - which shows in his writing. I give him credit for that, his clear history and knowledge adds to the story and gives us that credible feel.
I had a hard time getting into this book though, sadly it was confusing in the beginning, not enough explanations - just thrust into the middle of it all. Also even though this book is categorized at fantasy, it was not my cup of tea.
I do believe that this book was decent and that some people will really enjoy it, but for me it was not a favorite. I'll probably give it another chance in the future and look forward to what Ryan comes up with next.
