An intriguing mystery with a sci-fi element

I don’t normally don’t read this genre but I like a good mystery and really enjoyed this book. The beginning was a little confusing for me. I felt like I was thrown in the middle of the scene without enough introduction. Once I started getting into the story and reading more about each character everything seemed to flow better. I really liked the characters - their contrasting personalities balanced each other out. I thought Buc was sarcastic and vulgar and her dialogue with other characters was great. There were multiple settings and each added an interesting element to the story. The ending of the story definitely left an opening for a sequel and I really hope that there will be more adventures with Buc and Eld.
