The summary alone was a wild ride. There were just so many aspects of storytelling rolled up into one book. The mysteries that Buc solves to become like Sherlock is normally the extent of a plot. But then you add pirates. And Gods. There's just so much and I'm fascinated by how it all fits together. It seems difficult to make a story like that not feel disconnected especially when the summary sounded a bit disconnected. Buc seems like a really awesome character, and I hope we get to see her grow throughout the story.
