Pirates of the Caribbean mashed with magic
Sambuciña's awe of the library and just books in general is literally me, haha. I don't know how many times I've thought something similar - I could spend YEARS reading and never seem to catch up or hope to read what I want. This book seems like it's from two different era's - around the 1700's from it's Pirates of the Caribbean feel to somewhat modern with Sambuciña's comment regarding a book about planets. The merge of painting and picture on the cover doesn't really do it for me - my preference would be one or the other, not both. The excerpt that I read was well written but had little in the way of world building but if the description of the library is anything to go on, I believe it'll be top notch. I really do like the main character's snarky intelligence.
