I'm intrigued by the main character. Sambucina sounds like a true badass! The book cover promises a bloody adventure but Buc is just as much an intellectual as she is a fighter. She uses her book learning to get herself and her partner Eld out of a death sentence with representatives of an organization much like the East India Company. I can't wait to read the rest of the book!
