I like the cover - it's very bold. I hope the pirate ship in the corner indicates that actual pirates are ahead. I'm not entirely sold on Buc - she is a bit abrasive - but I think I'll warm up to her over the course of the book. The writing is also a bit stilted - can't put my finger on what exactly bothers me about it - and I'm hoping that, too, will improve as the book goes on. So I'm excited to read it with reservations.
