When I first started reading, I didn't think it would be a book I would read. I didn't really care for the book cover. However, once the characters were at the library, I wanted to know more. The author introduces the plot and the characters in a very clever manner, giving the readers hints at a time and keeping the readers' interest. I like the deepness and wisdom of Buc, well beyond her years. I particularly enjoyed the analogy Buc made between knowledge and "a loaded pistole waiting to be fired." The author does a good job getting the reader to see the story. I enjoyed reading the first look for The Sin in the Steel.
