Detectives, pirates, magic . . . sounds like my kind of book!

At first, the cover of this book didn't really interest me, but once I read the description I knew I had to read more. I love how Van Loan starts off this book right in the action, which really got me into the story. I like the style of writing and the characters in this book. I am definitely interested in reading more!
