Better than I thought
The cover and the description didn't do much for me but I decided to read the first impression anyway. I was intrigued with the first chapter, but then the second kind of lost me. I don't know if it is the writing style or what but the description of the "trial" was a bit confusing and hard for me to follow. I found myself not really sure what I thought about the characters and not particularly attached to the story. Granted, I am not much of a fantasy reader so maybe that's why.
