You can't trust anyone, not even those who you call friend. This is an introduction to the past which somehow makes what is going on in Ukraine more understandable for me. The Russians, Polish, Ukraine, Germans all seeming to fight the same war yet each fighting a war of his own. I was captivated, interested, and now heading for the nearest library to read articles, and get out books about these very confusing factions, and this very confusing part of the world. This book definitely is a good starting point for anyone who wants to know more about what is happening in today's world as well as what was going on in the years we never saw would make a repeat performance.
