Riveting Story of little-known WWII history in eastern Poland

This story draws the reader in from the beginning with Maria’s capture and release from eastern Poland in the waning days of WWII as she tries to make her way back to ‘Brod,’ her former home. A young Ukrainian man that she befriends becomes her advocate and ally at a time when she desperately needs one.
