The cover caught my eye and at first I thought this might be a science fiction or magical realism book. The genre of historical fiction was surprising to me. Reading the preview and the book description, I am even more intrigued. The writing style is very easy to read and pulls you in to the story immediately. I appreciated the historical note and the clear research and connections to reality that appear in the book. I can't wait to pick this one up and enjoy it in full!
