This sounds so intense! I love the premise already. I so rarely see books focusing on other Eastern European nations outside of Holocaust books. Especially with the current Ukrainian invasion ongoing, a book like this will be very timely. I'm very curious to know more about Maria and see what kind of journey she goes on. Can't wait to read this one!
