Beautiful prose, but too close to current events.

Given the state of the world right now, I would have to pass on this one. The writing is beautiful, but I read to escape. Even though this is historical fiction, it hit too close to home. I am intrigued by it and would place it on my tbr for maybe a few years from now. Pity because the prose is beautiful.

Gorgeous cover. It would make me intrigued to pick it up.
