Poland and Ukraine are in turmoil as the Soviet forces advance to reclaim the land from Germany in the closing days of World War II. With the Ukrainian independence organization contributing to the conflict, both she and Kostya, a Ukrainian spy, are bound for turmoil.
The jacket cover is fairly typical for a historical fiction novel, but references the secret handoffs Kostya must engage in as part of his reluctant duties with the Ukrainian resistance. The writing is gripping and I found myself holding my breath at time. This is sure to be an exciting (and sadly timely) read!
