Definitely did not see that twist coming!!! Thank you to Celadon Books and Alex Michaelides for the opportunity to read this book!! This is Alex Michaelides’s debut novel and what a debut it is! I was hooked from the very beginning and if life didn’t get in the way I would have had it finished day one. When you take love, murder, an asylum, a therapist and a patient who won’t speak you get one craft thrill ride. Even though Alicia won’t speak Theo is determined to get to her to open up to him. If you like stories which hook you in and then throw one amazing twisty reveal then read this book!!! This one does not disappoint! I love that I had zero expectations going into reading this and left reeling from shock and awe. I can’t remember being this blown away by the ending of a book...ever. I look forward to what is to come next from Alex Michaelides. I will definitely be reading it!
