This story is absolutely wild. It has more twists and turns and surprises than I could have ever expected. The characters are all likable and unlikable at the same time. Alicia Berenson is living a charmed life. She has a wonderful job and wonderful husband. However, one night she waits until her husband comes home and shoots him five times. She is then sent to a psychiatric home where she becomes completely silent and refuses to talk to anyone. Her psychiatrist works hard to get her to open up or give any reason as to why she killed her husband, but she refuses to say anything. These meetings with her therapist are insane. Throughout the whole book, I was desperate to know why she killed her husband and why she refuses to talk now. I could not put this book down!
