What did I just read??? I did not see that coming, at all!! I feel like I am with everyone else who has read and reviewed this book, wow, that came out of left field. But I like that. I feel like a lot of thrillers these days are trying to use the same formula, very few shock or surprise me anymore. THAT IS NOT THE CASE HERE! Just so we are clear.
Great story and it kept me involved and reading. I had a hard time starting this book and it actually took me a car ride and audiobook to really get into it. Not sure what my problem was with the print copy. I needed to know why Alicia didn't talk. I was pretty sure she had certainly done the thing and killed her hubby, so for me the thriller portion was coming from, why isn't she speaking any longer!!
This was fast paced and quite short chapters. You could easily get by with knocking this out in a day if you were lounging on the beach.
