Okay, so, I know we are only 23 days into 2019 however, I have no doubt this is going to be one of my top favorites this year ! I know we readers have different tastes but for me this book was top notch in all I look for in a good psychological thriller. The writing was smooth the pace was perfect, the way Michaelides chose to deliver the story was riveting and the ending well.... I call it a "wait, what?" moment. Flip the pages back read them again and again and sit there in reader's awe. I never had to say "get on with it already", never too wordy, never cheesy eye rolling moments that I have come across quite often lately. It was fascinating how he wove art and painting into the story in such a way that they became characters in the story as well.
I thoroughly enjoyed this book and can't wait to see what Alex Michaelides gives us next. I just hope we won't be waiting too long !
