The Silent Patient by Alex Michaelides is a psychological thriller that follows a young woman who shoots her husband in the face five times and then falls silent. I enjoyed how quickly this book read. Although "the twist" at the end was slightly predictable, it still had me questioning the validity and morality of all the characters and throwing blame on each one.
This book had me so mislead. Every time I thought I had it figured out I did not. You literally will read the entire book thinking that you know exactly what happened and what will happen next. And you will be wrong. So incredibly wrong. This is the type of book that would be awesome to reread directly after finishing because it would be like reading a totally different story after receiving the ending information. Just do yourself a favor and pick this book up and try to figure out what is happening.
