Dr. Theo Faber is a psychotherapist, who also used to be a patient of psychotherapy. He becomes obsessed with Alicia Berensen, a high profile artist who allegedly shot her husband point blank for no understandable reason. No one knows why she did it as since the incident, she no longer speaks. Dr. Theo believes hie is the person that can reach her. He gets a job at the facility she lives in and insinuated himself into his world. Dr. Theo also has problems of his own as he sees his beloved wife embarking on an extramarital affair.
