Wow! What a way to start the year! This book is so good! The Silent Patient starts out with a couple that is deeply in love with one another. Gabriel calls Alicia to let her know that he will be late coming home from work. When the police arrive, Alicia is left with the gun in her hand from shooting her husband five times. She is taken to a mental hospital in London. Theo is a new psychotherapist that has heard of Alicia. He becomes intrigued with her and the case to the point where he becomes obsessed with it. He is determinded to get Alicia to break her silence. Can he? I can’t spoil it for you but I can tell you that you are in for a treat! I can promise you that you will love this book! It may be my fave of 2019!
