When I read the description of this book, it sounded like the perfect suspense story for someone who like Big Little Lies or How to Get Away with Murder. But that was just on the surface...

The book began with a journal entry by the woman who kills her husband. As she writes about her life with him, it is clear to the reader that she is not just in love with him, but rather that she is almost consumed by him. But as the diary entry ends, that is all we, the readers, get from her point of view.

Instead, the story shifts to a narrator who seems a bit off his own rocker. The narrator, who claims to have been abused by his father as a child, is a psychotherapist determined to help Alicia by any means necessary.

I am intrigued and need MORE!
