I enjoyed this suspense/thriller audiobook, it moved along at a good pace.
The author spends a lot of time building his characters. You get a great deal of information about his character's upbringing and people who influence them as they are growing up. I think Mr. Michaelides really slowly builds his characters so you really feel like you know them as people. You see how specific people in their lives shaped them into the people they are to become. When these people are faced with hardships and some horrific events in their lives, you can see how their current situations have come to be. The author paints a colorful picture of his characters and their lives, whether you like them or not.
