I gave this book 4 stars. I really enjoyed the different viewpoints and the chapters going back and forth between the past and present. I enjoyed getting a glimpse into an artists life and then getting a glimpse of the intense life in a mental institution. One of my favorite story lines was actually Theo's and his belief that his wife was cheating on him. That was a good way to break up the monotony of the Theo and Alice scenes. That story line also played a big role in the end twist which even though I guessed about 75% of the way through the book I still thought was really well done. I wouldn't say this was the best thriller of the year but I really did enjoy it and would recommend it to other thriller readers.
