One of the better psychological thrillers I've read in a while

While it wasn't so fast paced or heart palpitating, I was kept on the hook from the start to the very last page. Even when it all became clear, I found myself skim re-reading it from the very beginning with the newfound perspective and appreciating the attentiveness to detail and all the aha moments that were now highlighted on the way to discovery. I found myself enjoying the psychological insights and while life doesn't always demonstrate how experiences from youth affect us in a clear cut way, the author was able to piece together a jigsaw of the past for both Alicia and Theo so that we could clearly understand the damage done to each individual and how their experiences shaped them and enticed them to act certain ways. Highly recommend!
