So I had so so many people tell me how good this book was, so of course, I gave it a read. I was so disappointed. The “twist” was predictable; I guessed what was happening from almost the beginning. I kept thinking, “well it has to be different from what I’m guessing”, but nope! And the story line just so unbelievable. I lost count of how many times I said, nope, that would just not happen. No way would that ever happen in real life. I know it’s fiction, but come on! It’s not a fantasy / supernatural novel.
The writing was childish. I was bored the whole time. It was a lot of build up with no action, to a boring end. I can’t believe how many people raved about this book. It had such a promising premise, an intriguing mystery to solve, and it just didn’t deliver. Waste of time.
