I heard a lot of hype about this, so naturally I had to find out for myself. Then after reading the description, I thought "this is the thriller I have been looking for." It definitely wasn't what I expected. By about the middle of this book, I had the ending figured out. The therapist definitely gave off a strange vibe. The plot had a lot of slow points and was very drawn on at times. The ending I felt was very open and not complete at all, while also being predictable. Once I had figured out the ending, what was supposed to keep me captivated and wanting more. Usually I can devour these in one sitting. I went in expecting a thriller and this book was not the thriller I expected. It was my first by Alex and I know also his debut novel, but that being said honestly I probably won't read another. That being said don't let my review deter you from reading it.
