The Silent Patient follows a therapist who is interested in one specific patient, who also refuses to talk. The book reels you in from the beginning as you are given information on the crime committed but there are no answers on why it occurred or why the patient is refusing to talk. The book takes you through the process of the therapist trying to find the reason for the patient being silent, while the reader is also trying to solve the crime that occurred. There are a few different ways that I guessed while reading but none of them turned out to be correct which I enjoyed. At points, the book was confusing as it felt like we were going back and forth between times of the therapist's life and also trying to understand the relevance of some of these points. Eventually, the ending of the book wrapped up all of these confusing points nicely and I was able to understand the reason for including them. Overall I had an enjoyable time reading this book!
