I started reading this book due to an influx of praise for this book. I really wanted to love it as much as my peers. However, I just never did.

The cover of the book I think was awesome. It was very suspenseful and eye catching.

The first chapter of the book is extremely captivating. It grabs your attention almost immediately and draws you in. You want to keep reading to find out what happened to this girl who loved her husband so much. But that's where the excitement ends, at least for a while. From the end of the first chapter, all the way until about 60% through it's very slow. I understand that the author needed to lay the foundation and make sure that everything got tied together in a way that would make the ending as great as it was, but it was just too slow for my liking. It seemed as though there was way more back story and moving around than needed to be.

The ending of the book really is what makes this book. There are two huge twists that you do not see coming and once they hit, you are really and truly shocked. I did feel like something huge was going to happen, although I did not exactly guess what it was.

All in all, it is a decent read. The ending really makes reading it completely worth it. I would have just preferred more action and less of the tip toeing around.
