The Silent Patient kept me on the edge of my seat the whole time. The pace of the book seemed a bit slow at points, such as in the beginning, but it definitely picked up very quickly and kept me wondering what would happen next.
The switching between past and present helped to tie the story together and slowly build up the suspense of the twist ending.
I love a good twist and this one was great. I am usually pretty good at guessing twists but didn't see this one coming at all. Even looking back after finishing it I can't pinpoint any specific parts that would have given it away.
I have recommended this book to friends and family and recommend it for anyone who likes mysteries, crime, whodunnit or psychological thrillers. Definitely a must read and would make a good book club book and would provide some great discussions not only about the book but also about mental health.
