An engrossing page turner that keeps you engaged until the very end. What really happened the night that Alicia's husband was shot and killed? Was it Alicia, was it one of the other characters introduced along the way? Why has Alicia stopped talking or responding to others since that night? Why did she complete one more (and only one) painting after her husband's death and why?
This book was the thriller I needed. It was not an easy one to suss out the whodunit aspect and it left me guessing and engrossed in the book. The book angered me at times and made me think about different aspects through a new lens.
Where the book leads was definitely not what I was suspecting and it definitely gave me a wonderful essence of surprise that many thrillers today are lacking. I listened to this audiobook over the course of one day because I just could not stop listening. I do recommend the audiobook as well as the narration is superbly done!
