A good psychological thriller with a nice twist. I had some suspicions about a character that made me not surprised by the twist, however, I didn’t fully see it coming. This novel is clearly written by an author who understands mental health and mental health facilities (he has worked in one), which makes the novel more realistic and enjoyable. This book is difficult to put down, as it draws you in so completely. A psychotherapist narrates the story about a patient in an inpatient facility accused of murdering her husband. The author keeps you wondering what exactly is going on both with the patient as well as with the psychotherapist throughout the novel. You keep wondering “Will Alicia ever speak again? Why is she silent?”
