This book has hooked me from the beginning. We don't start by getting to know the characters, or setting up the world, but instead, we are plunged into this incident and already wondering what in the heck is going on. Because of this, the reader is thirsty to continue the story. We learn about a woman named Alicia who shot her husband and has refused to speak ever since the incident. Theo is a psychologist who takes it upon himself to be the person to make her open up and finally share what happened that dreadful night.
The writing style is very atmospheric, vivid and fast paced. Because Theo is a somewhat unreliable narrator, I am constantly on the edge of my seat wondering what will happen next. I am absolutely loving it so far! :)
