This had me hooked from the very first paragraph. I love thrillers and read many, but this felt very fresh and intriguing. I felt for the characters and wanted to know more! I particularly like the themes of art and psychotherapy that seem like they will feature in large part in the novel. The writing style flows well and it was easy to read. What could drive someone to kill her husband and stay silent for years afterwards? I need to know! I must know. The novel feels deliciously eerie and haunting, and I believe some twisted things will be revealed. I can't wait to read the full novel! Gripping, haunting and original. I find myself caring for the characters already. I can't believe this is a debut novel.
