This book was excellent. The writing style was fantastic. It held my interest the entire time and the pacing was fantastic. The author did an incredible job at weaving together the story of Alicia, an artist who is accused of killing her husband and the story of Theo Faber, the newest doctor to the ward. As a direct result of the trauma from that night, she has gone mute. She lives in a psychiatric ward, but has not said a word to anyone, despite the occasional violent outbursts. However, it's not long before her psychiatrist Theo Faber takes a heightened interest in Alicia's case and to get her to speak.

If you are Greek, you will appreciate some of the Greek-ness woven into the story.
