Read this book as part of a book club so we really drug it out even though I felt like it should’ve been a quick read. Maybe that’s why I didn’t end up loving it or maybe it just wasn’t that great. I predicted the big twist right from the beginning which I normally don’t do or even try, but then again the book club gave me lots of time to think. I think my big qualm with this book was just the author’s style of writing. Every idea felt majorly rushed. Like he’d explain an idea super fast and move right on and never revisit. Just didn’t flow for me and felt very staccato. I did like the creativity behind the story and the cast of characters so it got points for that from me. I wanted to love this book but it just kind of fell flat in my opinion.
