The Silent Patient was so unbelievably hyped up that I had high expectations from it. However,unfortunately, my expectations were not met.
Don't get me wrong, I loved it. The story was written in a sophisticated manner and was quite a quick read.
However,psychological thriller is my favorite genre. I have read so many of them,especially the ones with unreliable narrators ,that I have been quite accustomed to them. To me,the twists that I did not see coming,are the ones I loved. And,in the case of this book,I did see the ending coming. In fact,I saw it coming quite early.
Now I am not bragging and I am still telling you,this is one hell of a good novel,but going by my system...it fell a little short of the hype that was created around it.
