Alicia hasn't spoken a word since she was found standing in front of her murdered husband, Gabriel. Six years into her stay at a psychiatric facility, Theo Faber comes on board as her psychotherapist. Can he get her to speak? What really happened that night? As we start to learn more, we start to question if she really did it, is she really crazy, and WHY? With pieces of Alicia's diary and Leo's side story sprinkled in, The Silent Patient is an engrossing, easy read. This book ticks all the checkboxes for a terrific psychological thriller: instantly engaging, powerful yet easy-to-follow narration, characters who may not be what you think, short chapters that keep prevent you from getting distracted... My favorite part? A cleverly crafted, overwhelming twist. The whole time, I was so occupied with trying to figure out the story, that I had never expected this coming!

Five huge stars!
