This is one of the best debut books that I have ever read. This psychological thriller has it all love, murder, revenge. The story line, I found, was unique and very well written and all of the characters were unforgettable and felt like real people. I was actually nervous to read this because everyone continued to tell me how amazing it was and I didn't want to be let down. Well, this story really does live up to all the hype. I could see it picked up as a movie in the future if it hasn't been already.
It is fast paced and at times a bit dramatic, but all of the twists and turns make it so much better.
Throughout the whole story I asked myself what really happened the night Alice's husband died, why wasn't she talking. I thought I had everything figured out until I didn't and I love when that happens.
Alex Michaelides is definitely an author to watch for. I, for one, cannot wait to see what he comes up with next. I am sure it will be just as amazing.
