It came to no surprise to me that the Silent Patient won Goodreads 2019 Choice awards for Mystery and Thriller. It was that good!
I'm really even hesitant to write a recap of the book because I'm so nervous about giving anything away. This truly was a book that you have to read to really understand. The story surrounds Alicia who is a famous painter and married to Gabriel who is a famous fashion photographer. There life seems perfect.
Until one day when Gabriel arrives home and Alicia kills him. Then she stops speaking. Thus begins a super crazy thriller into the reasoning why she did it and what made her snap.
This was well written characters, who were flawed, honest and raw. The story is going to keep you invested and honestly you will probably finish this within a day because its that compelling. I needed to know what was happening and what had happened!
