I was instantly gripped by this strange, suspenseful story. I LOVED the references to Greek literature, they really made the story for me.

I think the book lost some of its charm because the story felt quite dragged out, and the ending/resolution was rushed. I was hoping it would be better explained, more details provided, etc. The middle dragged for me and it took me weeks to finish this book because of this.

Still an exciting read and I will definitely be picking up more from this author. I can't wait to see what subject he tackles next, I hope he brings more of this dark atmosphere he established in this book.

Would recommend for: fans of domestic noir! And if you enjoyed this book please give a chance to The Good Samaritan by John Marrs, it's quite similar and imo even better!
