This was an excellent thriller. As someone who reads a great deal of mysteries/thrillers, I find that often books that come with advertised "major plot twists" that you will "never see coming" rarely, in fact, surprise me. This novel, however, is an exception where the big twist actually did catch me by surprise.
Not only is the twist very satisfying, the book itself is very well done. Sometimes novels with big twists I find to struggle with pacing to building to the twist in question and often also struggle to land the plane once the big reveal happens. But this book was very well paced, engaging throughout and hard to put down. It didn't have any moments that felt slow, but building up to the climax also didn't feel rushed which for me is a very hard line to walk.
This book is perfect for those who prefer a more psychological thriller/mystery, as it doesn't rely heavily on action to keep it moving but rather a complex in depth look inside the minds of its characters.
