This book is so amazing that I couldn't put it down, it made me feel numerous emotions such as stress and dismay for Alicia Berenson. The writer begins by describing Alicia's chaotic situation, she was sentenced to prison for allegedly murdering her husband. After several years in prison she stopped talking, because of that she was admitted to a psychiatric hospital. In this place a new recruit, Theo Faber, narrates the events, he is a well-known psychotherapist, he has Alicia as a patient. He wants to know what happened that led her to commit this terrible crime, and especially discover why she stopped talking so abruptly. Theo will have to be very creative in looking for the best way to help her patient. An incredible book, so far one of the best of the thriller genre, it should be noted that it is the first novel by Alex Michaelides, and it did not disappoint me, it was an exceptional reading.
