This book grabbed me from the first page and kept me reading til the unexpected twist at the end. A patient institutionalized after a violent crime which left her husband dead and the murder weapon in her hand, unable or unwilling to talk. Is she victim or perpetrator? A doctor committed to helping her find her voice and tell her story, even though others have tried and failed. But nothing is ever as it seems in a good thriller. The characters are all flawed and the secrets are numerous, but all will tie together in a twisty complex ending that will leave you breathless. This author has created a multi-faceted story that draws the reader in to the world of mental illness, control, art, and make you question the motives of every player.
