I was very excited to receive an advanced reader’s copy of this book, which is billed as a psychological thriller. Thank you to BookishFirst and the publisher for giving me the opportunity to review this book! The plot sounded very promising, but I was disappointed in the execution. This book started off so slowly. It actually took about 100 pages to get any pace going, and then once things picked up, I was able to figure out the “big twist” pretty early on. The characters felt a bit flat. Although I am in the minority of reviewers, this book was “just okay” for me.
