A very different psychological mystery. I found the writing to be excellent and the author kept me riveted and reading when I should have been sleeping. I did not anticipate the conclusion at all. It is difficult to believe that this is Alex Michaelides first book. I certainly will look forward to reading more of his books.
The story revolves around a young woman named Alicia who is deemed mentally unstable after being tried and found guilty of killing her husband by shooting him in the face four times. The psychotherapist,Theo, is intrigued with her case and is determined to help her. Unfortunately Alicia has not spoken one word since the murder so this is a difficult goal.
